The Sewing Room

'Sala da Costura' - the sewing room is a large rondavel (african circular hut) at the project which is full of noise, sewing machines, material, ladies, babies and toddlers....and much chaos everywhere! 

Ladies come from Vila Maninga and the surrounding villages to learn and practice sewing and to make clothes and blankets for their families and to sell.

They sew non-stop and apparently their husbands complain that the food is always late in the evenings because they can't get them to leave the Sewing Room!
