Refuge, Education & Hope in Mozambique

Present Funding Needs

Firstly, it costs about £2,500 to support the community and home-based care of orphans and elderly each month before we begin new building projects. We always need funds to support our daily work.

Secondly, we are looking for funds to connect Vila Maninga to the Mozambican mains electricity so the community can consider establishing a technical secondary school and a clinic. The electricity will cost between £20-30,000.

Thirdly, the community are hoping to purchase an electrical maize grinding mill to support the local people. This will cost about £4,500.

Fourthly, there are often more secondary and tertiary school students in other parts of rural Mozambique who are desperate to continue their studies but unable to do so. It costs about £170 to support a student at secondary school for a year.

Fifthly, we are considering building a much needed primary or secondary school in the Manica province, working alongside the government education department.
