Foster Homes for Orphans
Maninga means 'Place of Refuge' and that is exactly what it was to various foster children who came in that to (at present) 30 or so foster children who were orphaned and destitute. Their stories of why they came ranged from death of parents from AIDS, malaria, disease to abuse or serious mental health issues.
All came through the social welfare referral system and recently they changed their guidelines so now they find family members to look after the children. We still support chlidren in need in their families with groceries, medical fees, clothing, school fees etc.
